Case 04

Leadership Resilience & Burnout Prevention

Client: Digital Banking Institution

Context

The organization recruited industry experts to build and operate a relatively new business model within the banking sector.

Shortly after operations began, the COVID-19 pandemic struck. The pressure of building a new business amid uncertainty led many leaders to experience burnout

Challenge

If left unaddressed, prolonged burnout could result in:

  • Declining productivity
  • Weakened decision-making quality
    Reduced leadership effectiveness

The organization required an intervention that not only enhanced skills, but also strengthened the personal resilience of its leaders.

Our Approach

We began with individual assessments to understand each leader’s characteristics and pressure points. The findings were discussed with HCBP and the Learning & Development team to ensure contextual alignment.

Key insights revealed the need for:

  • Coaches with strong credibility and relevant expertise
  • A tailored approach aligned with leaders’ profiles and business pressures
  • Fine-tuned training content specific to their context

The program was structured into three modules, spaced one month apart to allow reflection and real-world application.

This was followed by personalized executive coaching, and concluded with an evaluation session with HCBP before a structured handover to each participant’s direct supervisor.

Impact

  • Leaders became more conscious in managing energy and pressure
  • Improved self-management and team leadership effectiveness
  • Increased awareness of early burnout indicators and proactive mitigation
  • Stronger leadership capacity in driving business growth
